Tackling Extreme Fatigue
There are many cases where the body is being asked to give too much too often without being given the chance to recuperate and recover and over time, this may cause Extreme Fatigue as well as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Symptoms. This, combined with the injudicious use of short term stimulants and drugs, can cause the body to break down at some point. When this happens, and toxins are not being properly expelled from the body, all manner of secondary illnesses can happen. As with so many other medical conditions, the earlier the problem is taken care of, the best off you will be.
Symptoms of short term exhaustion are very similar to those caused by more serious underlying conditions, and this does not make diagnosis easy. In the first instance, you could try to correct whatever is wrong with your current lifestyle. If you have been working too hard, ease off. If this means standing up to some difficult people, do so as your health is far more important. Spend enough hours in bed, but do so when you are in the right frame of mind to sleep.
If extreme fatigue is a short term problem, a couple of nights of quality sleep and proper nutrition will see you feeling better very quickly. The only real exception to this is if you have been dependent upon stimulants for a long time. In this case, withdrawal may temporarily lead to disturbed sleep and irritability If this is happening to you, it will be better to come off the stimulants gradually, rather than to try to achieve too much too soon.
A few simple lifestyle changes will work miracles in a very large number of extreme tiredness cases. If you have put these improvements in place and seen no result, you will need to seek medical help. The reason for this is that there are some possible causes which need to be discovered and tackled as quickly as possible. The most obvious of these is cancer, which can be a direct cause of tiredness and brain fog. More cancers can be beaten with modern technology, and the earlier they are discovered the better.
The most difficult cases of extreme fatigue to deal with are the ones which are caused by Chronic Fatigue syndrome, which has only recently been accepted as a genuine medical condition. The right balance of exercise and rest is important, as is proper nutrition. The disease is not life threatening in itself, but obviously there are dangers of being tired in situations where alertness is necessary. Much help is available, but you will definitely need to make lifestyle changes to cope with your extreme fatigue.
